# Cancel a multipart upload

`POST /v1/media/upload/multipart/{id}/abort`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.brixsignage.com`

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Cancel an in-progress multipart upload and discard any parts already received. Safe to call more than once.

**Notes.**
- Answers `aborted: true` also when there was nothing to cancel.

Success.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing, expired or revoked bearer token.
- `403`: The token lacks the permission this operation needs (see `x-brix-permission`).
- `5XX`: Server error. The body carries a `requestId` to quote to support.
