# Check text for unsafe content

`POST /v1/media/moderate`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Run a safety classifier over a piece of user-submitted text, such as banner copy or a message board post, and return its verdict. This operation only classifies the text; it does not store it.

## Request body

  - `text` string, required

## Response `200`

Success.

- object
  - `data` object, required
    - `flagged` boolean, required
    - `reason` string: Present when flagged.
    - `checked` boolean, required: False when the check could not run (the text is then not flagged).

## Other responses

- `400`: `text` is missing.
- `401`: Missing, expired or revoked bearer token.
- `403`: The token lacks the permission this operation needs (see `x-brix-permission`).
- `5XX`: Server error. The body carries a `requestId` to quote to support.
