# Session endpoint

`POST /api/v1/accounts/{{account_id}}/sessions`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://edge-gsc.api.brightcove.com`
- URL: `https://edge-gsc.api.brightcove.com/api/v1/accounts/{{account_id}}/sessions`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

An endpoint that allows or denies playback based on concurrency restrictions

## Path parameters

- `account_id` string, required

## Request body

- ModelHeartbeatRequest
  - `video` string: The video id

## Response `200`

Playback allowed

- ModelHeartbeatResponse
  - `current` integer: Number of current active sessions
  - `heartbeat_interval` integer: Interval for heartbeats in milliseconds
  - `max` integer: Maximum number of allowed concurrent sessions

## Other responses

- `204`: Feature not available for the account
- `401`: Unauthorized due to invalid token
- `403`: Forbidden playback due to concurrency limit
