# Update Default Profile

`PUT /accounts/{{account_id}}/configuration`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://ingestion.api.brightcove.com/v1`

Updates the default ingest profile for the account.

- UpdateDefaultProfilebody
  - `account_id` number, required: Video Cloud account ID
  - `id` string, required: the configuration id (if you do not have it, make a GET request to get it)
  - `default_profile_id` string, required: The id or name of the profile you want to set as the default
  - `default_live_profile_id` string: The id or name of the live profile you want to set as the default
  - `default_social_clipping_profile_id` string: The id or name of the profile you want to set as the default for creating social clips

  - `account_id` number: Video Cloud account id
  - `id` string: configuration id
  - `default_profile_id` string: profile name for video-on-demand
  - `default_live_profile_id` string: default profile name for live streams
  - `date_created` number: when the profile was created (epoch time in milliseconds)
  - `date_last_modified` number: when the profile was last modified (epoch time in milliseconds)
  - `version` number: system-managed version number

## Other responses

- `400`: BAD_REQUEST: The JSON was not valid
- `401`: NOT_AUTHORIZED: Credentials are required to access this resource.
- `404`: NOT_FOUND: The api could not find the resource you requested
- `409`: CONFLICT: Account configuration already exists for 57838016001; please delete the configuration first, or update it instead.
