# Send intake invite

`POST /v1/intakes/{id}/send`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.briefgate.dev`
- URL: `https://api.briefgate.dev/v1/intakes/{id}/send`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Send the client invite email for a `draft` intake. After this call the intake transitions to `sent` and the client can access the portal.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request — malformed body or query parameters
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
- `403`: Authenticated but not allowed to perform this action
- `404`: Resource not found
- `409`: Intake is not in draft status
