# Download or preview one uploaded file

`GET /v1/intakes/{id}/items/{key}/files/{fileId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.briefgate.dev`
- URL: `https://api.briefgate.dev/v1/intakes/{id}/items/{key}/files/{fileId}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Redirects (302) to a short-lived signed URL for one file/image/file_list upload. The dashboard is the intended caller: /v1/intakes/{id}/results stays API-key-only, so this is the way an account owner opens a file the client submitted. File ids come from the `files` array on the matching item in GET /v1/intakes/{id}.

## Other responses

- `302`: Redirect to a signed download URL
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
- `403`: Authenticated but not allowed to perform this action
- `404`: Resource not found
- `422`: File exists but is not yet servable (pending AV scan or infected)
