# Delete intake

`DELETE /v1/intakes/{id}`

## Request

Permanently delete an intake. This cancels any pending chase reminders, deletes every uploaded file from storage, and hard-deletes the intake row — cascading to its items, secrets, and chase history. This cannot be undone: the intake cannot be retrieved afterward, and does not appear (soft-deleted or otherwise) in any later list or get call. There is currently no separate archive action that keeps an intake's data while blocking further activity on it.
