# Run Start

`POST /internal/instructions/run/start`

## Request

Open a run row and return its id.

Unlike /record this does NOT swallow failures: if the run cannot be recorded the
Worker must hear about it, because a run that mirrors nothing leaves no other trace
and would otherwise be indistinguishable from the schedule not firing at all.
The RPC also reaps runs killed before they could report (0124).
