# Re-host a media URL on Breakreach storage

`POST /v1/media`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.breakreach.com`
- URL: `https://api.breakreach.com/v1/media`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Downloads an image or video from a public URL and hosts it permanently, so it stays available for scheduled posts. Returns the hosted URL to use in POST /v1/posts.

## Other responses

- `400`: Missing or non-http(s) URL, or the media could not be downloaded
- `401`: Missing, invalid or expired API key
- `402`: No active Breakreach subscription or trial
- `409`: A request with this Idempotency-Key is still running: retry after Retry-After seconds to get its response
- `422`: This Idempotency-Key was already used with a different request in the last 24 hours
