# Create Asset

`POST /api/v1/byteplus-assets/assets`

## Request

Add an asset to a group from a public URL.

Asynchronous upstream: a returned id only means the upload was accepted. Poll
`GET /byteplus-assets/assets/{asset_id}` until Status is Active before using it.
The blocking `wait_for_asset_active` helper is deliberately not exposed — it
sleeps up to 600s and TimeoutMiddleware aborts requests at 120s.

  - `group_id` string, required: Asset group the asset belongs to
  - `url` string, required: Publicly reachable URL of the asset
  - `asset_type` string, required: Image, Video or Audio
  - `name` string, nullable
  - `moderation_strategy` string, nullable: Default or Skip
