# Upload a single skill

`POST /api/v1/claude/skills/upload`

Upload a single skill to the Anthropic Skills API.

**Required:** At least one file must be named `SKILL.md` and contain valid
YAML frontmatter with `name` and `description` fields.

**Optional extra files:** Additional `.py`, `.json`, `.txt` etc. files can
be included alongside `SKILL.md` to give the skill scripts or resources.

Returns the Anthropic skill object including `id` and `latest_version`.

  - `files` string[], required: Skill files to upload. Must include at least one file named 'SKILL.md'.
  - `display_title` string, nullable: Display title for the skill. Defaults to the 'name' field in SKILL.md frontmatter.
