# Get a music generation

`GET /music/{musicId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.braiv.co/v1`
- URL: `https://api.braiv.co/v1/music/{musicId}`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-Api-Key`

Returns status for a generation created by the caller. `audioUrl` is a one-hour signed URL when status is `ready`. Required scope: `music:write`.

## Path parameters

- `musicId` string, required

## Response `200`

Generation status. Ready responses include a signed audio URL.

- MusicGeneration
  - `musicId` string, required: Music generation id.
  - `jobId` string, required: Pollable job id, `music_{musicId}`.
  - `status` 'queued' | 'processing' | 'ready' | 'failed', required: Normalized lifecycle shared by jobs and video projections: `queued` is waiting to start, `processing` is running, `ready` completed successfully, and `failed` reached a terminal error.
  - `prompt` string, required: Prompt used for this generation.
  - `duration` number, required: Requested length in seconds.
  - `creditsSpent` integer, required: Credits debited up front.
  - `audioUrl` string, nullable, required: One-hour signed URL for the mp3 when status is ready.
  - `error` string, nullable, required: Failure message when status is failed.

## Other responses

- `401`: A supported authentication header is missing or contains an invalid Public API key.
- `403`: Authentication succeeded, but the required scope, workspace role, or resource permission is missing.
- `404`: The resource does not exist or is not accessible to the caller.
- `429`: The API key exceeded its allowed concurrency or request rate. Retry after in-flight work completes or the limit resets.
- `500`: An unexpected server error occurred.
