# Update site

`PUT /api/v1/sites/{uuid}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://botsee.io`
- URL: `https://botsee.io/api/v1/sites/{uuid}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Updates a site's editable metadata: product_name, value_proposition, and aliases. All fields are optional; omitted fields are left unchanged and explicit null clears a field. Non-string, non-null values return 400 validation_error. The aliases field is a comma-separated list of alternate brand names BotSee uses to recognize the brand in AI answers. created_via, billing_status, domain, and visibility cannot be changed here. PATCH is accepted as an alias for PUT.
