# Update billing settings

`PATCH /api/v1/billing/settings`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://botsee.io`
- URL: `https://botsee.io/api/v1/billing/settings`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Updates the organization's monthly spend limit. Other settings are read-only via this endpoint.

## Request body

- object
  - `monthly_spend_limit_cents` integer: Maximum spend per calendar month in cents. Cannot exceed max_monthly_spend_cents.

## Response `200`

Successful response.

  - `max_monthly_spend_cents` integer
  - `monthly_spend_limit_cents` integer

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing, invalid, or revoked API key.
- `403`: Authenticated but lacks permission (e.g. botsee_disabled).
- `404`: The requested resource does not exist or is not accessible.
- `422`: Request body or parameters failed validation.
- `429`: Too many requests. Wait and retry per Retry-After header.
