# Create list

`POST /v1/lists`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.botdog.co`
- URL: `https://api.botdog.co/v1/lists`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Create a new lead/audience list.

## Request body

- CreateListDto
  - `name` string, required: The name of the list
  - `isBlacklist` boolean: Whether this list is a blacklist (suppression list)

## Response `201`

- CreatedListDto
  - `id` string, required
  - `name` string, required
  - `isBlacklist` boolean, required

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized. API key is missing or invalid.
- `403`: The key owner has no seat assigned (write endpoints only), the team is on Botdog Managed and so may only read (write endpoints only), or the subscription/plan does not permit this.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded. Retry after cooldown.
