# Archive campaign

`POST /v1/campaigns/{id}/archive`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.botdog.co`
- URL: `https://api.botdog.co/v1/campaigns/{id}/archive`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Archive a campaign. The campaign is hidden immediately and moved to ARCHIVED in the background (async — returns 202).

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Response `202`

- CampaignAsyncOpResponseDto
  - `campaignId` string, required: The campaign identifier
  - `status` 'deletion_requested' | 'archival_requested', required: The accepted async operation. The campaign is hidden immediately and removed/archived in the background.

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized. API key is missing or invalid.
- `403`: The key owner has no seat assigned (write endpoints only), the team is on Botdog Managed and so may only read (write endpoints only), or the subscription/plan does not permit this.
- `404`: Campaign not found
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded. Retry after cooldown.
