# List avatars

`GET /v1/avatars`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.boson.ai`
- URL: `https://api.boson.ai/v1/avatars`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

The avatars this API key can start a session with: Boson's public presets plus any avatars owned by the key. Use an item's `avatar_id` in `POST /v1/avatar/sessions`.

## Response `200`

The avatar list.

- AvatarList
  - `object` 'list'
  - `data` Avatar[]
    - `avatar_id` string: Pass this as `avatar_id` when creating a session.
    - `object` 'avatar'
    - `name` string
    - `width` integer: Reference image width in pixels.
    - `height` integer: Reference image height in pixels.
    - `is_public` boolean: `true` for a Boson preset, `false` for an avatar owned by this API key.
    - `created_at` string, date-time, nullable

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `503`: The avatar catalog is not available on this server (`not_configured`).
