# Search a company filing

`GET /filing-search`

## Request

Semantic vector search inside one company's latest annual report (10-K/20-F/40-F) or latest quarterly report (10-Q), identical to the search on the live stock page. Use this whenever the user asks what a company's filing says about a topic. Start with source semantic; if no indexed passage exists the tool automatically returns clearly labeled SEC EDGAR full-text filing-level results. Cite the returned SEC link and never claim an absent passage was found. Requires a signed-in Founding Access account API key (Authorization: Bearer bck_...).

## Response `200`

Structured result. Every payload carries an informational-purposes disclaimer; no Boothcheck house fair value, price target, or rating.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key for a keyed endpoint.
- `404`: Ticker not covered or no data for this surface.
- `429`: Rate limit reached for the key tier.
