# Delete Thread

`DELETE /inbox/{thread_id}`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Delete an inbox thread together with its messages, attachments and session data. The thread disappears from the inbox for everyone on the account.

CRITICAL: No undo in the app or the API. The thread is hidden rather than erased, so support can still recover it. Prefer inbox.updateStatus with status=closed unless the user explicitly asks to delete the conversation (e.g. spam, or a GDPR erasure request).
