# Remove a place

`DELETE /equipment/places/{id}`

## Request

Deleting the active place switches to home, so something is always in force. Home itself cannot go while another place exists (HOME_IN_USE, 409) — make another one home first. Past sessions are unaffected: each day's history records the set it was written from, not which place it came from, so a deleted place leaves every past day explicable.

No content.
