# Unfreeze

`POST /defi/v1/rwa/unfreeze`

## Request

Restores the functionality of a previously frozen asset within the RWA framework. It reactivates an asset—typically frozen for regulatory, security, or administrative reasons—so that it can resume normal blockchain operations. A successful request returns key details such as the chain ID, gas used, and a reference ID for tracking the unfreeze operation.

## Request body

- RwaUnfreezeRequest: The request body for a /defi/v1/rwa/unfreeze
  - `chainId` '1500' | '1501': The unique ID to direct queries or transactions to the correct blockchain. Find more [here](https://docs.blockdaemon.com/docs/defi-api-supported-protocols#supported-chains).
  - `contract` string, required: The unique identifier of the smart contract where the asset is registered
  - `from` string, required: Public blockchain address of the sender initiating the transaction. Format depends on the chain (e.g., 0xABCDEF... for EVM, G... for Stellar).
  - `assetCode` string, required: The unique alphanumeric code identifying the asset.
