# Simulate Transaction

`POST /defi/v1/chain/simulatetransaction`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://svc.blockdaemon.com`

- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Simulates a signed transaction in the current network context without broadcasting, returning an encoded outcome, potential events, and resource cost metrics (CPU, memory). The response also includes the minimum resource fee and ledger number, enabling developers to verify, optimize, and confirm transaction behavior before committing funds.

## Request body

- ChainSimulatetransactionRequest: The request body for a /defi/v1/chain/simulatetransaction
