# Get Sui Balance

`GET /defi/v1/chain/getsuibalance`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://svc.blockdaemon.com`

- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Retrieves the current or historical token balance for a specified SUI blockchain address, with the option to specify a block number for precise point-in-time analysis.

## Query parameters

- `chainId` '101' | '102' | '103': The unique ID to direct queries or transactions to the correct blockchain. Find more [here](https://docs.blockdaemon.com/docs/defi-api-supported-protocols#supported-chains).
- `chainSymbol` string: The abbreviated chain name for queries or transactions.
- `blockNumber` string: The block number for which the balance is to be retrieved. Defaults to the latest block if not specified.
- `address` string, required: The public address for which the balance is to be retrieved.
- `tokenAddress` string: The address of the token to retrieve the balance for.
- `vsCurrencies` string: A comma-separated list of currency symbols to convert the amount into, such as 'USD,EUR'. This parameter is optional and allows retrieving values in multiple fiat currencies.
