# Retrieve a record

`GET /api/records/{id}/`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://docs.blindinsight.io` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

  - API key in cookie `sessionid`
  - HTTP basic
  - HTTP bearer

Retrieve a record by its ID.

The response will be the record object.

**On the command line:**

blind records retrieve --id "<record-id>"
```

## Response `200`

- Record: HyperlinkedModelSerializer with `id` as the first field.
  - `id` string, required
  - `url` string, uri, required
  - `schema` string, uri, required
  - `data` object: The data that this record represents.
