# Aggregated exchange price

`GET /api/v1/prices/summary`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.bitcompare.net`
- URL: `https://api.bitcompare.net/api/v1/prices/summary`
- Auth: one of:

Current aggregated price for one or more symbols, computed from multiple exchange feeds.

## Query parameters

- `symbols` union, required: Single symbol or array of symbols (e.g. "btc" or ["btc","eth"])
  - string

## Response `200`

Successful response

- object
  - `prices` object[], required
    - `symbol` string, required: Coin symbol
    - `price` number, required: Aggregated price in `currency` (default USD)
    - `currency` string, required: ISO 4217 currency code the price is denominated in
    - `providers` integer, required: Number of providers included in the aggregation
    - `min` number, required: Lowest provider price after outlier filtering
    - `max` number, required: Highest provider price after outlier filtering
    - `median` number, required: Median provider price
    - `timestamp` string, required: ISO-8601 timestamp of the aggregation
  - `count` integer, required
  - `timestamp` string, required

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
- `429`: Plan rate limit exceeded — see X-RateLimit-* headers and Retry-After
