# Delete the authenticated account

`DELETE /me`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://eu.bisibility.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://eu.bisibility.com/api/v1/me`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - OAuth 2 (authorization code, authorization URL `/api/auth/oauth2/authorize`, token URL `/api/auth/oauth2/token`, scopes: `api:write`)

Permanently deletes the account and its owned data. Requires an admin-scope personal access token, or an app token with api:write and a sign-in within 10 minutes, plus the account email as confirmation.

## Request body

- MeDelete: Confirms account deletion with the account's email address.
  - `confirm_email` string, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Insufficient scope, or app sign-in older than 10 minutes (details.code reauthentication_required and details.max_age_seconds 600).
- `404`: Not found
- `409`: The account is the last instance administrator; Unsupported API version
- `422`: The confirmation email does not match
- `429`: Rate limited
