# Logout current user

`GET /api/v1/user/logout`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://toolkit.browserstack.com`
- URL: `https://toolkit.browserstack.com/api/v1/user/logout`
- Auth: API key in cookie `_wdt_rails_session`

Logs out the current user by clearing their session and cookies

## Headers

- `Sec-Fetch-Site` string

## Other responses

- `302`: User logged out successfully - redirects to logout page
- `401`: Unauthorized - user not authenticated
- `403`: Forbidden - cross-site forced logout blocked (LV-3306)
