# Record departures

`POST /team/departures`

## Request

Records the last day and who ended it (resigned or company) for one or more people on Team (up to 100). It stays private to owners and admins until team.departure.send announces it, or until the last day passes. Opens a final pay task due on the last day, ends a member's access after the last day (remove_access, on by default; an owner's stays until another owner removes them), and with letter_template_id fills each departure letter from the company's confirmed template (the last day, vested options and the exercise deadline from the cap table) as a draft envelope. A letter that names when health benefits end gets ESIGN's exclusion and a task to send that notice on paper. cancel_unvested drafts the cancellation of unvested options when it's announced, unless service_continues.
