# Upload metadata file

`POST /hubs/{HubHashId}/projects/{ProjectId}/import_metadata`

Upload a CSV or XLSX file to import document metadata asynchronously. The file is processed in the background to update the documents.

## Path parameters

- `HubHashId` string, required
- `ProjectId` integer, required

## Headers

- `fileName` string, required
- `Content-Length` integer
- `dateFormat` string
- `timeZoneId` string

## Response `204`

The metadata was successfully uploaded.

## Other responses

- `307` — According to the hub id, the request is at the wrong datacenter. Please retry with the URL in the "Location" header.
- `400` — The request is malformed or has invalid parameters values.
- `401` — The request is not authenticated.
- `403` — You don't have access to the project.
- `404` — The project doesn't exist.
