# Edit document number

`PUT /hubs/{HubHashId}/projects/{ProjectId}/documents/{DocumentId}/number`

Update the document number.

## Path parameters

- `DocumentId` string, required
- `HubHashId` string, required
- `ProjectId` integer, required

## Request body

- FeaturesDocumentsEditNumberEditNumberCommandEditNumberCommandBody
  - `number` string, nullable

## Response `204`

The document number was successfully updated.

## Other responses

- `307` — According to the hub id, the request is at the wrong datacenter. Please retry with the URL in the "Location" header.
- `403` — You don't have access to the project.
- `404` — The project or document doesn't exist
