# Edit metadata

`PATCH /hubs/{HubHashId}/projects/{ProjectId}/documents/{DocumentId}/metadata`

Update metadata fields for a document.

## Path parameters

- `DocumentId` string, required
- `HubHashId` string, required
- `ProjectId` integer, required

## Query parameters

- `RevisionId` string

  - `fieldName` string, nullable

- `307` — According to the hub id, the request is at the wrong datacenter. Please retry with the URL in the "Location" header.

- `404` — The project or document doesn't exist
