# Get audit trail details for a vendor

`GET /v3/reports/audit-trail/vendor/{vendorId}`

Get audit trail details about changes made to a vendor object. The audit trail lists records for each create and edit operation.

## Path parameters

- `vendorId` string, required: BILL-generated ID of the vendor. The value begins with `009`.

## Query parameters

- `includeArchived` boolean, nullable: Set as `true` to include all archived audit trail records in the response
- `start` integer, nullable: Index of the first result
- `max` integer, nullable: Maximum number of results

## Headers

- `sessionId` string, nullable: API session ID generated with `/v3/login`
- `devKey` string, nullable: Developer key generated with your BILL developer account

Get audit trail details response

- AuditTrailEntry[]
  - `source` string: Set as `API` when the create or edit operation is completed with the API
  - `type` string: Operation type (`CREATE` or `EDIT`)
  - `createdTime` string: Created date and time of the audit trail record
  - `user` object: User information
    - `id` string: BILL-generated ID of the user. The value begins with `006`.
    - `name` string: Name of the user
  - `field` object: Information about the field that is created or edited
    - `name` string: Field name
    - `value` object: Field value
      - `previous` string: Previous value
      - `current` string: Current value
