# Archive a chart of accounts

`POST /v3/classifications/chart-of-accounts/{id}/archive`

Archive an existing chart of accounts. In the response, the `archived` field is set as `true`.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required: BILL-generated ID of the chart of accounts. The value begins with `0ca`.

- `sessionId` string, nullable: API session ID generated with `/v3/login`
- `devKey` string, nullable: Developer key generated with your BILL developer account

Archive a chart of accounts response

- ClassificationChartOfAccountsResponseDto: ClassificationChartOfAccounts response Dto.
  - `id` string: BILL-generated ID of the chart of accounts. The value begins with `0ca`.
  - `archived` boolean: Set as `true` if the chart of accounts is archived
  - `name` string: Chart of accounts name
  - `description` string: Chart of accounts description
  - `parentId` string: BILL-generated ID of the parent chart of accounts. You can set this field if this chart of accounts is a child object.
  - `account` object: Chart of accounts details
    - `type` 'UNSPECIFIED' | 'ACCOUNTS_PAYABLE' | 'ACCOUNTS_RECEIVABLE' | 'BANK' | 'COST_OF_GOODS_SOLD' | 'CREDIT_CARD' | 'EQUITY' | 'EXPENSE' | 'FIXED_ASSET' | 'INCOME' | 'LONG_TERM_LIABILITY' | 'OTHER_ASSET' | 'OTHER_CURRENT_ASSET' | 'OTHER_CURRENT_LIABILITY' | 'OTHER_EXPENSE' | 'OTHER_INCOME' | 'NON_POSTING' | 'UNDEFINED': Type
