# Changes only the client fields sent (BF-7501): JSON Merge Patch.

`PATCH /v{version}/Clients/{clientId}`

Send any of businessName, clientCode, phone, fax, isActive; fields not sent are left alone. null
clears a field, except businessName and isActive. Keys match in any case; an unknown key, a value of
the wrong JSON type or an empty body is a 400. A clientId in the body must equal the route.
