# List artifact versions

`GET /api/v1/artifacts/{id}/versions`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://your-deployment.example.com`
- URL: `https://your-deployment.example.com/api/v1/artifacts/{id}/versions`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `x-api-key`

Lists an artifact's versions, oldest first. Items carry `content: null`; fetch a version for its content. Cursor-paginated (see the pagination convention): pass `next_cursor` back as `cursor` until it is `null`.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Query parameters

- `limit` integer
- `cursor` string

## Response `200`

One page of versions, in version order.

- ListArtifactVersionsResponse200
  - `data` object[], required
    - `version` integer, required
    - `version_tag` string, nullable, required
    - `change_description` string, nullable, required
    - `created_at` string, required: ISO 8601 timestamp.
    - `content` string, nullable, required: This version's content. `null` in a list; fetch the version for it.
  - `next_cursor` string, nullable, required

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials.
- `403`: The API key holds neither `notebooks:read` nor `notebooks:write`.
- `404`: No artifact with that id is visible to the caller. An artifact that does not exist, a deleted one and one you cannot read are all reported as 404, so artifact ids cannot be probed through this endpoint.
- `405`: The path does not serve this HTTP method.
- `422`: `limit` is out of range, or `cursor` is malformed or was issued by a different endpoint. A cursor is opaque: pass back exactly the `next_cursor` you were given.
- `429`: Per-user rate limit exceeded.
