# Get an agent execution

`GET /api/v1/agent-executions/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://your-deployment.example.com`
- URL: `https://your-deployment.example.com/api/v1/agent-executions/{id}`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `x-api-key`

Returns the status, reasoning trace, and (once terminal) the final answer of a run started by `POST /api/v1/agent-executions`. `steps` grows while the run is in flight, so polling this endpoint is also how a REST caller follows the loop. Safe (GET) requests on this route are exempt from the per-day API-key quota: a poll consumes no daily slot, and only the per-minute burst limit applies.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials.
- `403`: The API key does not hold any of the required scopes.
- `404`: No execution with that id is visible to the caller.
- `405`: The path does not serve this HTTP method.
- `422`: Request failed validation.
- `429`: Per-user rate limit exceeded.
