# Create a job group line item

`POST /v1/jobGroups/{jobGroupId}/lineItems`

Create a new job group line item (required scope jobs:write)

## Request body

- CreateJobGroupLineItemModel: Create job group line item request model
  - `contactId` integer, nullable: Contact id that the costs are charged to
  - `quantity` number, double, required: Quantity of the line item
  - `description` string: Description of the line item
  - `taxId` integer, nullable: Tax identifier (must exist and not be deleted for customer). Nullable
  - `unitCost` number, double, nullable: Unit cost (nullable, non-negative)
  - `unitSellingPrice` number, double: Unit selling price (non-negative)
  - `nominalCodeId` integer, nullable: Id of the associated nominal code
  - `departmentCodeId` integer, nullable: Id of the associated department code

## Response `201`

Created

- PostResponseInt64: Represents a response for a POST request, containing the ID of the newly created record
  - `id` integer: Identifier of the newly created record
