# Create a sales opportunity line item

`POST /v1/finance/salesOpportunities/{salesOpportunityId}/lineItems`

Create a new sales opportunity line item (required scope finance:write)

## Request body

- CreateSalesOpportunityLineItemModel: Represents a model that holds information about creating a sales opportunity line item
  - `contactId` integer, nullable: The unique identifier of the contact associated with this sales opportunity line item
  - `quantity` number, double, required: The quantity of the sales opportunity line item
  - `description` string: Description of the sales opportunity line item
  - `taxId` integer, nullable: Tax identifier (must exist and not be deleted for customer). Nullable
  - `unitCost` number, double, nullable: Unit cost (nullable, non-negative)
  - `unitSellingPrice` number, double: Unit selling price (non-negative)
  - `nominalCodeId` integer, nullable: Nominal code identifier (must exist and not be deleted for customer)
  - `departmentCodeId` integer, nullable: Department code identifier (must exist and not be deleted for customer)

Created
