# Create an attachment for a contact

`POST /v1/contacts/{contactId}/attachments`

## Request

Creates a new attachment for a contact (required scope attachments:write)

## Path parameters

- `contactId` integer, required

## Headers

- `Customer-Id` integer, required

## Request body `multipart/form-data`

  - `file` string, binary, required: The file to upload
  - `folderId` integer: The ID of the folder where the attachment should be stored (optional)
  - `isResourceVisible` boolean: Whether the attachment should be visible to resources (mobile field engineers)

## Response `201`

Created

- PostResponseInt64: Represents a response for a POST request, containing the ID of the newly created record
  - `id` integer: Identifier of the newly created record

- `400`: Bad Request
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Not Found
