# Retrieves a single vehicle check by its identifier

`GET /v1/checks/{checkId}`

- ExtendedVehicleCheckModel: Represents the detailed, by-id view of a vehicle check, including the individual<br/>items that were checked and any defects reported during the check
  - `checkId` integer, required: The unique identifier of the vehicle check
  - `vehicleId` integer, required: The unique identifier of the vehicle the check was performed against
  - `vehicleGroupId` integer, nullable: The unique identifier of the vehicle group the vehicle belongs to
  - `completedByResourceId` integer, nullable: The unique identifier of the resource who completed the check
  - `completedAt` string, date-time, nullable: The date and time the check was completed
  - `createdAt` string, date-time, required: The date and time the check was created
  - `items` ExtendedVehicleCheckItemModel[], required: The individual items that were checked
    - `question` string, required: The Question text
    - `answer` string, nullable: The answer to the question
    - `notes` string, nullable: Any notes recorded against this item
  - `defectsReported` integer, nullable, required: The identifiers of defects reported as part of this check

- `404`: Not Found
- `500`: Internal Server Error
