# One player's World Cup so far (aggregate + event timeline)

`GET /v1/wc2026/players/{id}/tournament`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.bigballsdata.com`
- URL: `https://api.bigballsdata.com/v1/wc2026/players/{id}/tournament`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - HTTP bearer

A single player's tournament: headline aggregate (matches_played,
minutes, goals, assists, yellow_cards, red_cards, substituted_off) plus
a per-event timeline (each with match_id, kickoff_utc, opponent, minute,
event_type, event_detail, assist_name). :id is the BBS player UUID.
Aggregates come from wc2026_player_match_stats (authoritative, matches
/v1/wc2026/stat-leaders); the timeline from wc2026_match_events, joined
on a shared player key. A player who exists but has not played yet returns 200
with zeroed stats and an empty events array (not 404). 60s Redis cache.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, uuid, required

## Response `200`

ok

- object

## Other responses

- `400`: malformed player id (not a UUID)
- `404`: no player with that id
