# NBA game lineups (home/away players with position + starter flag)

`GET /v1/nba/games/{id}/lineups`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.bigballsdata.com`
- URL: `https://api.bigballsdata.com/v1/nba/games/{id}/lineups`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - HTTP bearer

Home and away lineups for one NBA game from the lineups feed.
Each side is a flat array ordered starters-first; split starters from
bench on the `starter` boolean (there is no separate team object or
starters/bench split). `id` accepts our match UUID or the numeric NBA
game id. Coverage fills in as the backfill runs: a real game with no ingested
lineups yet returns empty arrays, not 404. Lineups exist 2025-26 onward
only; for historical "who played" data (2019-20 onward) use
/v1/nba/games/{id}/availability.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Response `200`

      - `position` string, nullable

      - `player_id` string, uuid, nullable
      - `name` string, nullable

## Other responses

- `400`: invalid game id (must be a match uuid or numeric NBA game id)
- `404`: NBA game not found
