# Transcribe rule text

`POST /rules/transcribe`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.beyondwords.io/v1`
- URL: `https://api.beyondwords.io/v1/rules/transcribe`
- Auth: API key in header `X-Api-Key`

Transcribes text into phonemes for use in pronunciation rules.

## Request body

- RequestBodyTranscribeRule
  - `text` string: The text to be transcribed
  - `type` 'ipa', nullable: The transcription type to generate (currently only `ipa`)
  - `language` object, nullable
    - `code` string: Language code (ISO 639-1 with optional region, e.g., en_GB)

## Response `200`
