# Import phone number

`POST /projects/{project_id}/agent/phones`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.beyondwords.io/v1`

- Auth: API key in header `X-Api-Key`

Import a Twilio phone number and assign it to the agent

## Request body

- object
  - `label` string
  - `phone_number` string
  - `sid` string
  - `token` string
  - `enabled` boolean

## Response `201`

imports a twilio number and assigns it to the agent

- AgentPhoneModel
  - `id` string: Unique identifier for the phone number
  - `type` string: The channel type. Currently always `telephony`.
  - `provider` string: The telephony provider. Currently always `twilio`.
  - `label` string: A human-readable label for the phone number
  - `phone_number` string: The phone number in E.164 format
  - `elevenlabs_channel_id` string: The identifier of the phone number in ElevenLabs
  - `enabled` boolean: Whether the agent currently answers calls on this number. Disabling it detaches the number from the agent in ElevenLabs without deleting the number itself.
  - `created_at` string, date-time: Time at which the object was created (ISO 8601)

## Other responses

- `401`: Invalid authentication token
- `404`: Agent beta not enabled for this organization
- `422`: missing twilio credentials
