# Delete a group

`DELETE /v2/groups/{group_id}`

To delete a group, send a DELETE request to `/v2/groups/$GROUP_ID`.

A successful request will receive a 200 status code with nothing
in the response's body. This indicates that the request was processed
successfully.

Note that this endpoint does not support deleting permission groups. If the
request attempts to delete a permission group, you'll receive a 403 error.

## Path parameters

- `group_id` string, required

## Response `200`

The action was successful and the response body is empty.

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized.
- `403`: Forbidden.
- `404`: The resource was not found.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded.
- `500`: Server error.
