# Get Company Finder search results

`GET /company_finder/async/{request_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.bettercontact.rocks/api/v2`

Retrieve the results of a Company Finder search.

Answers `202` with no `companies` while the search is still running, and `200` once it is done. Branch on `status`, never on the HTTP code alone. See [Request statuses](/api-reference/statuses).

- `request_id` string, required

## Response `200`

Search finished. `status` is `terminated` (`companies` and `summary` present, `companies` possibly empty) or `on_hold` (not enough credits for a single company).

- CompanyFinderResult
  - `id` string: The `request_id` of this search.
  - `status` 'not_started' | 'processing' | 'on_hold' | 'terminated': See [Request statuses](/api-reference/statuses). A search that matched nothing is reported as `terminated` with an empty `companies` array.
  - `credits_consumed` string: Credits spent by this search, as a decimal string.
  - `credits_left` string: Credits remaining on the account, as a decimal string.
  - `summary` object: Only present once `status` is `terminated`.
    - `companies_found` integer: Total number of companies matching the filters, regardless of `limit`. Use it to size your pagination.
    - `limit` integer: The `limit` used for this page.
    - `offset` integer: The `offset` used for this page.
  - `companies` CompanyFinderCompany[]: Only present once `status` is `terminated`. An empty array when nothing matched.
    - `company_id` integer: BetterContact identifier for this company.

    - `company_website` string, nullable: Website, usually a bare domain without scheme.
    - `company_linkedin_url` string, nullable
    - `company_crunchbase_url` string, nullable

    - `company_founded_year` integer, nullable

    - `company_employees_range_start` integer, nullable: Lower bound of the headcount range.
    - `company_employees_range_end` integer, nullable: Upper bound of the headcount range.
    - `company_employees_count` integer, nullable: Exact employee count, when known.
    - `company_employees_by_department` object, nullable: Headcount per department.
    - `company_size_range` string, nullable
    - `company_revenue_range` string, nullable
    - `company_locations_count` integer, nullable: Number of company locations.
    - `company_last_funding_round_name` string, nullable
    - `company_last_amount_raised_usd` integer, nullable
    - `company_total_amount_raised_usd` integer, nullable
    - `company_last_funding_date` string, nullable: `YYYY-MM-DD`.
    - `company_head_quarters_city` string, nullable
    - `company_head_quarters_state` string, nullable
    - `company_head_quarters_country` string, nullable
    - `company_head_quarters_address` string, nullable
    - `company_active_job_postings_count` integer, nullable: Number of open roles, when known.

## Other responses

- `202`: Request accepted but not finished yet. `companies` and `summary` are absent. Poll again later.
- `401`: Unauthorized. The API key is missing, invalid or deactivated.
- `404`: Unknown `request_id`, or the request belongs to another account.
