# Get Model

`GET /v1/models/{model}`

## Request

- The document declares no server URL.
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Get a model by name and provide basic information.

## Path parameters

- `model` string, required: The name of the model to get.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- Model
  - `object` 'model': Type of the object.
  - `id` string, required: The model identifier, which can be referenced in the API endpoints.
  - `type` 'automatic-speech-recognition' | 'image-to-text' | 'text-classification' | 'text-embeddings-inference' | 'text-generation', required
  - `aliases` string[]: Aliases of the model. It will be used to identify the model by users.
  - `created` integer, required: Time of creation, as Unix timestamp.
  - `owned_by` string, required: The organization that owns the model.
  - `max_context_length` integer, nullable: Maximum amount of tokens a context could contains. Makes sure it is the same for all models.
  - `costs` ModelCosts
    - `prompt_tokens` number: Cost of a million prompt tokens (decrease user budget)
    - `completion_tokens` number: Cost of a million completion tokens (decrease user budget)

## Other responses

- `401`: Invalid authentication scheme.<br>Invalid API key.
- `403`: Your account has expired. Please contact support to renew your account.
- `404`: Model {name} not found.
- `422`: Validation Error
