# Create StudyItemAssociation

`POST /api/v3/study-item-association`

## Request

Create a StudyItemAssociation.

## Idempotency

If an association with the same `(studyId, itemId)` pair already exists, the request succeeds without creating a duplicate association.

  - `studyId` string, required

## Response `201`

Created

- StudyItemAssociation: Represents the link between a Study and a Studyable item (such as entities or molecules). Each association is identified by id and links a specific `study` to a specific `item`, and records when the link was created via `createdAt` and who created it via `creator`.
