# Transfer Container contents

`POST /api/v3/container:transfer`

## Request

Transfer contents from sources into destination containers. Each row specifies a destination container and exactly one source (container or entity), the quantity to transfer, an optional final quantity to dilute the destination to, and an optional source concentration override. Passing a null unitId and null value for transferQuantity records the transfer without an amount: source contents are added to the destination, the source quantity is unchanged, and the destination quantity is cleared. Destination concentrations are also cleared, unless the destination had no contents and no quantity, in which case the transferred contents keep the source concentrations or the sourceConcentration override. finalQuantity cannot be set on a transfer without an amount.
