# Bulk Update Users.

`POST /users:bulk-update`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://{tenant_name}.benchling.com/api/v2`
- URL: `https://{tenant_name}.benchling.com/api/v2/users:bulk-update`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

There is currently **no support** for swapping emails or handles between existing users in the same request.

## Request body

- UserBulkUpdateRequest
  - `users` UserBulkUpdate[]
    - `email` string: Email of the User
    - `handle` string: Handle of the User
    - `isSuspended` boolean: Suspended status of the User
    - `name` string: Name of the User
    - `id` string, required

## Response `202`

This endpoint launches a [long-running task](https://docs.benchling.com/docs/api/v2/benchling-api/tasks/get-task) and returns the Task ID of the launched task.
When successful, the task returns a full list of [Users](https://docs.benchling.com/docs/api/v2/benchling-api/users/bulk-update-users) resources that were updated.
